Zen Shiatsu is a beautiful form of bodywork. It manipulates the Ki (Ch’i), life’s vital energy, in our bodies, blending the psychological and spiritual components with the physical. The deep relaxation of the body, mind and soul rejuvenates and induces a state of harmony and peace.
A shiatsu session incorporates stretching, movement, meditation and meridian theory to balance and restore Ki flow throughout the body. The receiver lies on a cotton futon mat in comfortable clothing. The practitioner moves about the receiver’s body stretching and exercising the meridians and muscles.
Shiatsu helps maintain health and well-being. When the body’s energy is balanced, it follows a natural impulse to heal itself.
